Adjustment techniques will vary depending on the individual. The most common techniques used for most patients are a combination of drop table and manual (by hand) adjustments. For much younger patients, elderly, or those with a history of spinal fusion surgery or other spinal surgeries a gentle instrument adjustment is a great option.
Manual muscle testing is also utilized to find the areas that need adjusted, find muscle imbalances, and check all of the systems in the body.
You don't have to be an athlete with a sports-related injury, or any injury, to see a chiropractor. Prevention is the best medicine!
